I want to let you know what a great experience the Business Builder Workshop was. From the first rate instruction and instructors, to the breakout sessions to the quality of the participants, it's hard to put into the words the value I received.
I arrived at the workshop on Monday morning as a general practitioner CPA and left Wednesday afternoon with a blueprint to become a CPA specializing in College Planning as well as Cash Flow Planning and Debt Reduction. The eight steps were all laid out and were gone over in detail. No stone was left unturned.
Rick Darvis, Ed Kinkopf and Ron Them are not only great presenters, but quality people as well. You can tell by spending time with them that they really care about the people they work with and want to see them succeed.

I must say, attending my second Business Builder Workshop, turned out to be one of the smartest decisions I have ever made. I really enjoyed meeting planners from all over the country and hearing about what they are doing in their practices-what's working and what's not working. Plus, it was rewarding to review the Business Builder Workshop process again!
But most importantly, I enjoyed being around some of the best minds in the college planning business, specifically, Rick Darvis, Ron Them and Ed Kinkopf, up close and personal. They are the best in the business. Not to mention, they are three great guys.
We learned a lot and we also laughed a lot. The workshop took us step-by-step in detail through the entire eight step college planning process-from the beginning of the cycle to the end. It was really a great time. I plan on attending again next year. This will be an annual event for me.

Dear Rick, Ron and Ed Senior,
I just want to thank you all for a world class Conference/Workshop on May 3-7, 2010 at Las Vegas. It was truly an inspirational and electrifying experience of a lifetime!!! While the 2-1/2 days Spring Conference allowed me to delve into the basics of the multifacet college planning (academic and financial/tax strategies), the follow-on Business Builder Workshop amalgamated all the proprietary and valuable tools together with the best in practices proven over the decades.
Rick Darvis is a true legend. As the authority from college to tax, cashflow and retirement planning, he simplified what is complex to what is easy to grasp, remember and apply. Together with Ron Them, Rick designed the 8-step approach as a best practice model for us to serve our clients. It is like playing in a 9-hole golf course with the final step being celebration of goal achievement with our client (parent and child.) Lastly, the small group participation of the Business Builder Workshop was stimulating, rewarding and fun. We all have had a marvelous time sharing and blessing each other.
I highly recommend the NICCP conference and workshop to anyone who is open minded, ready and willing to be sparked by the legendary Rick to take a quantum leap out of the ordinary into the extraordinary, and to change people's lives in meaningful and significant ways beyond measures.

I really enjoyed the workshop. The small number of attendees (12) really allowed for some great interaction. The sharing was very beneficial. I was glad that there was a variety of different types of advisors.
Kevin (my CPA) and I had a 1st meeting with 2 prospects this week. Working with Kevin is going to be a dynamite combination. It is giving me more confidence on the tax strategies and Kevin can implement them. We were able to go through my question list (it really works great if you listen) and gather the information we needed to prepare a proposal. Now, we are going to package what the client wants and present a price to them in a second meeting.
