- College vs. Retirement Software
The College Cost vs. Retirement Excel calculator is a presentation worksheet to show your clients the importance of using “other people’s money" (education loans) to pay for college. It analyzes the total amount of student contributions to college, the parents’ contributions to college and the “lost opportunity cost” of using your own assets to pay for college tuition. It ends by summarizing the bottom-line benefits of using your own cash flow to fund retirement and using student and parent loans to pay for college.
The 529 Plan Taxability software allows an advisor to determine how much of a 529 Plan withdrawal is taxable. After the taxability of the withdrawal is determined the advisor can develop strategies to reduce or eliminate the tax liability.
- Investment Tax Profile Software
The Investment Tax Profile software helps an advisor compare different investment vehicles, such as IRAs, 401(k)s, annuities, mutual funds, etc. The comparison is based on the following tax attributes:
* Tax deductible contributions
* Tax deferred growth
* Tax-free distributions
