2008 College Financial Planning Conference

The theme for the 2008 NICCP College Financial Planning Conference is "The Specialty Services of College Planners- Who We Work With- What Problems We Solve- What Results Our Clients Can Expect!"
The need for college planning is huge! And the results we can provide are incredible... but families don't know these results are possible. We're going to talk about what you have to do to "get the word out" Once they know what they can expect... they will come!!
This conference is a must for all college financial planning advisors … especially if you’re not doing all the business you can handle. A conference workbook will be provided for each attendee.
Registration and Admission
For active members of the NICCP that register for the conference prior to March 31st the cost is $495 for all three days including continental breakfast and a full lunch. After March 31st the cost is $595. For non-NICCP members the cost is $795 prior to March 31st and $895 after that date. Click here to register for the conference

This conference will focus on presenting the material needed to truly be a specialist in college planning. Using existing financial services as a base of knowledge, this conference will walk you step-by-step through the college funding engagement, with sessions that address how to save for college, how to reduce the cost of college, and how to pay (the balance) without killing your current lifestyle and other financial priorities.
The conference includes sessions on developing and operating an effective college planning business, including effective strategies for promoting your services in a way that creates client “interest”. Listen in on discussions on pricing your services and other practice management ideas.
This conference will cover material for all advisors, regardless of experience.
The NICCP has loaded this conference with sessions to provide you with a step-by-step process for college funding that provides results your clients won’t walk away from. We’ll talk about attracting potential clients, meeting and conversing with clients, qualifying potential clients, and what to do “behind the scenes” to create the plan that makes you a hero! You’ll leave this conference with a workable game plan and lots of new ideas, including marketing and funding strategies you can immediately put into action. There will also be discussions on developing and operating an effective college planning business, including pricing your services and other practice management ideas.

Continuing Education
CFPs get 16 hours of continuing education credit for attending the conference. In addition, CPAs in 40 states get 16 hours of CPE for attending. CCPS designees also receive 16 hours CE credit.
States that do not currently accept CPE credit are: Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, New Jersey, Hawaii, Arkansas, Delaware, West Virginia, Illinois.

Conference "Rules"
1. Registration will be from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5th
2. NO video recording devices! Audio recording is accepted with special permission only
3. The conference general sessions will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and will end at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday
4. Please dress “casual”
